Inspiration: Ellen von Unwerth
Ellen von Unwerth has long been a favorite of mine. I am incredibly inspired by her work and how she portrays women in a sexy, confident way. In a world dominated by men, she has managed to make quite a name for herself as a fashion photographer. Her images are sexy, bold, fun and creative. I have always been drawn to her black & white images, but you must also check out her color photos too…they really pack a punch!
I love that she is an untrained photographer, having taught herself the art. She has said, “Technique undoubtedly helps make photography magical, but I prefer to work with atmosphere. I think that the obsession with technique is a male thing. Boy’s toys. They love playing… but once you’ve perfected something you have to start searching for a new toy. I would rather search for a new model or location.”

Safe Tanning
Last week I got my very first airbrush tan! I wish this had been available in my teen years, as it could have saved me a lot of skin damage! I was pretty nervous going in to the appointment since I didn’t know what to expect and I knew I might be going topless in front of a stranger for no tan lines above. Well, Nadene at Tan Las Vegas (on Eastern next to I Love Sushi) put me right at ease immediately. She was so sweet and talked me through the entire process. I ended up with the best tan I have ever had in my fair-skinned life! I highly recommened Nadene at Tan Las Vegas!
