One of the many benefits of having a Haute Shots spokesmodel is being able to explore and test out new ideas before trying them with my clients. I never want to waste a clients time during her session. I prefer to go in with tried and true techniques. This goes for equipment (camera and lighting) techniques as well as posing and expression techniques.

For today's post, I would like to show you an example of how Shana and I work. We decided to dissect a single pose for an AIBP Philosophie Boudoir Magazine article I was invited to write. I decided to go with a pose that I had never coached before. The challenge for me was being able to smoothly direct the pose but also to see how much variety (with slight adjustments) I could get from it. Mission accomplished! I might be able to fill a small album with all of the shots we achieved! Here are some of my favorites....

What an incredible experience. You never cease to amaze me! Every time we get together I swear my brain feels like it is going to explode. This time was no different. Taking that risk and doing something that wasn’t necessarily in our comfort zone was liberating and I know only you could capture me this way ;O) Can’t wait for the workshop!!!

    XOXO

This is a great example of WORKING IT Stacie. When I first started shooting boudoir, I’d stand in one spot, spray and pray, then move the client. I shoot so much more like this, and neither my clients nor I get as tired!

    I love this pose too.
