The Haute Shots Boudoir Photography Experience

August 11, 2011

Good afternoon. I would like to speak to someone about a television opportunity regarding your studio.

That was an email I received from someone who would soon become a very special person in my life. Reese was not the first producer to contact me, nor was she the last. But, she was the only one who completely understood what our mission is with this business, how important our clients are to us, and how amazing each and every one of their stories are. She understood that while we are professional, we also like for our clients to have FUN! And that my team has individual personalities. She also understood how to create drama and entertainment without sacrificing the integrity of everyone involved, as well as my business. And, that is pretty much why I adore this woman. She is an absolute riot, as excited as I am about the whole concept, as creative as can be, and just an amazingly talented producer.

So, what happened after that email? Well, we filmed a sizzle reel!!! So. Much. FUN! We poured our hearts into this thing. And we let it run it's course with the networks. We gained a LOT of interest, but in the end, they all passed. Again. This was actually the second time a producer presented my studio to the networks. The interest was definitely MUCH higher. And two of the networks really seemed to want to figure out a way to make it work. But for whatever reason, they just didn't see it working for them that season. We were pretty crushed. How could they not think these women's stories were worthy of sharing on national television? Our clients are just amazing! It is never the same story twice, they are all so completely unique and fascinating. And quite frankly, their stories are more worthy than some of the utter trash you see on tv these days. Oh well. We moved on. We survived the heartbreak.

Well, I received a call from my producer last night telling me I could use the reel! Otherwise, it would have just sat there getting no use whatsoever. I am so grateful to her for this, since most sizzle reels never see the light of day!

Soooo, do you want to see it???? This video is dedicated to every woman out there. Every one of you has a story to tell, ya know?

See what I mean about our clients stories? Ginger, our client in the reel, just completely captured my heart that day. She was such a delight to shoot. Her story just floored me, coupled with her strength. I think what made me break down and cry was knowing she must have been scared out of her mind over what she was facing with her health, but she didn't seem to show that fear. She had to be strong for her family. I have so much respect for her, and am grateful she came into my life that day. She has some great updates that I really hope she will chime in here about.  By the way, I posted about her photo shoot before. You can see that post right here.

The TV show didn't happen, but I am still getting to learn of more and more women's amazing stories on a daily basis and hoping I make a difference in their lives, the way the photo session in the video did for Ginger. The power of boudoir. It's incredible!

There is nothing more lovely than seeing a group of women interacting in a positive way. The way the Haute Shots team welcomed and embraced Ginger was so powerful to watch. Her photos were as lovely as her spirit. When it’s all said and done, I sense that each person you have the opportunity to shoot becomes an honorary member of the Haute Shots team.

Seeing you and the ladies of Hera work together was cool too. There is a mutual professional respect for each other, yet opinions are expressed without anyone getting crazy (Hellooooo…any of the ladies from the Real Housewives franchise).

    Way to go Stacie!

I would totally watch a show with yall over some of the other junk on tv. This would be so fun and a total hit! I love your work and getting photos done with you and your team is going to be my reward when I hit my goals weight! It’s even on my goal chart.
